YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY (York, Maine)
Sunday, November 6th  |  3-4pm

FEATURING: David Newman & Helen Winebaum
DIRECTED BY: David Newman

These readings are intended to follow-up on the presentation on Refugees in Maine, as well as the York Diversity Forum program on Syrian Refugees and the Karam Foundation. We invite you to share with us Auden’s profound understanding of the plight of the dispossessed — as well as his affectionate but quizzical relationship to America, his adopted homeland.

Following a successful career in the New York theater, Helen Winebaum took an active part in the development of Theater by the Sea in Portsmouth, NH, both on stage and on the Board. She has also performed in three previous York Readers Theater productions, and for the last twenty years she has helped to preserve the natural resources in and around York as a Trustee of the Maine chapter of the Nature Conservancy and the York Land Trust.
